The Governments of Singapore and the United States (US) have signed a partnership agreement to collaborate on sustainable development, environmental governance, low-carbon solutions, and climate action. The US-Singapore Climate Partnership will aim to drive growth in green industries, including in sustainable financing, energy transitions, green infrastructure development, sustainable transportation, and carbon credits markets. No timeline has been set for the launch of the partnership.

The partnership will also aim to facilitate consultations on the establishment of green standards and the management of environmental financial risks. Through the ASEAN Smart Cities Network, the programmes will increase knowledge sharing and collaboration between Singapore, the United States, and other ASEAN members.
