The Government of Singapore has partnered with the European Union (EU) Commission to accelerate digital partnership in the countries. The EU-Singapore Digital Partnership is expected to improve digital connectivity and interoperability of digital markets and policy frameworks while also facilitating digital trade between the countries. The partnership will aim to promote collaboration on a wide range of digital challenges, including the digital economy and commerce.

The partnership will also address reliable and stable digital infrastructure, data innovation, digital regulations, the development of digital skills for workers, and the digital transformation of public services and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Additionally, the Digital Partnership will boost cooperation in new and emerging areas in digital technologies including 5G and 6G, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital identities.
