The Government of Indonesia has allocated approximately IDR275 billion for the development of road infrastructure in Sepaku, Kalimantan, the new capital city. The financing for the road infrastructure projects in the area will be sourced from the Kalimantan state budget while the regional budget will finance around IDR73 billion.
Road reconstruction will cover Semoi Sepaku – Petung 1 road and Semoi Sepaku – Petung 2 road with a budget of IDR12 billion allocated to each project. Additionally, approximately IDR21 billion has been allocated for the construction of the Semoi Sepaku – Petung 3 road, and around IDR28 billion for upgradation works on the Semoi Sepaku – Petung road.
The road infrastructure budget will also finance the ongoing construction of a 5,775 km ring-road in the district by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) which commenced works during September 2021. The total budget for the ring road construction project is approximately IDR189 billion. PUPR is also working on the rehabilitation of the 8,724 km road access to PT International Timber Corporation Indonesia (PT ITCI) with a budget of IDR13 billion.
