The Government of Cambodia is seeking foreign investments from partner countries to finance urban infrastructure projects including the development of roads and bridges in the country.  The ongoing road infrastructure project is being financed by concessional loans and grants from China, Japan, and South Korea. The government is now seeking investments from Western countries, specifically the United States of America (USA).

The Government of Cambodia has also invited USA-based companies to bid on infrastructure projects and collaborate on the development of physical infrastructure in the country. According to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT), Cambodia will require USD48 billion over the next ten years to execute 330 projects in the transportation and public works sectors.
