The Government of Ben Tre, a province in Mekong delta, will invest over VND28.46 trillion during the period of 2021-2025 for the development of local infrastructure and logistics services. The funds will be directed into 89 projects, including the renovations on the National Highways 57 and 57B as well as sections of the North-South Expressway.
A further VND29.91 trillion will be invested in 41 transport projects between 2026 and 2030. This will include funding the HCM City-Tien Giang-Ben Tre-Tra Vinh Expressway and the completion of a coastline road in the province.
Additionally, the authorities are requesting around VND1.47 trillion to fund a deep-water port in Binh Dai district during 2026-2030, as well as modernising and extending current ports in Ben Tre.
