PT Energi Kreasi Bersama (Electrum), a joint venture (JV) comprising PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia and PT TBS Energi Utama, has started construction on an electric scooter manufacturing plant in West Java, Indonesia. Production is expected to commence in 2024 and the facility will be able to produce around 250,000 electric vehicles (EV) annually.
The plant will be key in supporting the government’s plan to deploy at least 9 million electric two-wheelers on the road by 2030.
