PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GoTo) and TransJakarta have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deliver an integrated public transport experience for riders in Indonesia. Starting January 2023, GoPay will be integrated with the TiJe app, allowing consumers to choose it as a cashless payment option for purchasing bus tickets. Additionally, riders can also buy TransJakarta tickets through Gojek’s GoTransit, a trip planning and tracking app.
The partnership is expected to increase ridership on TransJakarta’s public transport systems by offering more seamless and convenient cashless payment options.
Currently, GoPay can be used on multiple urban transit systems across Indonesia’s cities including the Jakarta MRT network, Kereta Commuter Indonesia, Trans Pakuan’s bus services in Bogor, the Trans Semarang bus service, and Blue Bird.
