India-based Genrobotics has secured a contract from PUB, Singapore’s national water agency, to deploy robotic systems for sewer inspection and water infrastructure management. The award follows a competitive international evaluation involving more than 600 companies.

Under the project, Genrobotics will deploy advanced robotic platforms designed to inspect, clean and monitor underground sewer systems without requiring human entry into hazardous environments. The evaluation process focused on operational precision, reliability in toxic conditions and the ability to support data-driven infrastructure management.

The contract strengthens Genrobotics’ growing international footprint, adding to its existing operations in markets such as Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa and the United Kingdom. The company’s flagship Bandicoot robotic system, used for mechanised sewer cleaning, is already deployed across multiple cities and has been developed to eliminate manual scavenging and improve worker safety.
