Four entities have bid for the PhP 60 billion LRT project to extend the existing 20.7 km LRT-1 system by 11.7 km from metropolitan Manila to Cavite province. The bidders are the Philippines-based San Miguel Corporation, DMCI Holdings, Inc., the Malaysian–Korean group MTDC-Samsung Consortium, and a JV of the Metro Pacific Investments Corporation and Ayala Corporation.
