Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors have conducted a joint demonstration of a flying taxi vehicle in Nusantara, the new capital city of Indonesia. Hyundai Motor Company plans to undertake research and development (R&D) to commercialise the flying taxis by 2028 and expects the first air taxis to operate in the city by 2030.
In addition, Hyundai and Kia also presented a demonstration of Shucle, a demand-responsive transport application (app). Passengers can book bike, minibus and taxi services through this app.
