Singapore-based Sembcorp Industries, an energy company has announced that the Tengeh Reservoir project in Singapore has been connected to the grid and has commenced commercial operation. The floating solar project has a capacity of 60MW and features 12,556 Trina Solar 210 Vertex dual-glass modules. In February 2020, Sembcorp had secured the contract from PUB to develop, own, and operate the project. The PPA was signed in May 2020, and building began in August 2020, with Sembcorp employing corrosion-resistant floats of food-grade quality.
