CarBEV has broken ground on a fully electric power station in Pasay City, near Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Philippines. The facility is designed to support the charging requirements of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and is scheduled to become operational by the end of August 2026. The project is being developed by CarBEV as part of its efforts to support the electrification of transport network vehicle service (TNVS) fleets.

The facility will have the capacity to serve up to 500 BEVs per day. CarBEV is an electric mobility company that launched in 2025 with plans to deploy an all-electric fleet and establish partnerships with TNVS platforms. The company has not disclosed the investment value or specific charging capacity of the station.

The project is being developed as the Philippines expands its electric mobility infrastructure. CarBEV Chief Executive Officer Christian Bradley said the development responds to the government’s direction towards electric mobility and the need for private-sector investment in supporting infrastructure. The Philippine government has set a goal for half of the country’s cars to be electric by 2040.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held on August 8 and was attended by representatives from the Pasay City local government, the Department of Trade and Industry – Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DTI-PPPI) and the Board of Investments (BOI). CarBEV was represented by its chief executive officer Christian Bradley, Chief Operating Officer Jomel Paradero, board directors Lhai Santiago and Lhea Paradero, and Chief Financial Officer Samir Patel.
