Marubeni Corporation and Thailand’s state-run petrochemical and petroleum company PTT Public Company Limited have started a feasibility study for improvement in LNG bunkering infrastructure at Laem Chabang port. Laem Chabang is Thailand’s largest industrial port, having a throughput of over 8,000 ships per year. The stringent environmental regulations in the region, coupled with governmental initiatives towards clean energy adoption, are expected to significantly drive the growth of the regional LNG bunkering market.
