Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd has awarded FMC Wellhead Equipment Sdn Bhd an engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCIC) contract for the deep-water Limbayong development project offshore Malaysia. The company will also oversee development of the umbilical, subsea production system, flowlines and risers.
Limbayong is a non-associated gas and oil field located 120 km off the coast of Sabah in ocean depths ranging from 2,953 and 3,937 ft. The project will have ten deep-water wells that will be connected to a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit.
