Envision Group has signed a letter of intent (LoI) with Impact Energy Asia Development Limited (IEAD) to supply wind turbines for the 600 MW Monsoon wind project in Laos. Envision Group will be supplying 133 units of its EN-171 turbines with 4.51 MW capacity each. Once operational, the machines will be generating more than 1,700 MWh of electricity per year.
The construction of the Monsoon Park is scheduled to commence in 2022, with commercial operations scheduled in 2023.
The output of the Monsoon wind farm will be delivered from Laos to Central Vietnam through a dedicated 500 kV transmission line. The plant will be run through a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Vietnam Electricity (EVN).
