Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has awarded the West Ganal exploration block in the Kutei basin, offshore Indonesia, to Eni S.p.A and its partners, PT Pertamina and Neptune Energy Group Limited.
The contract for West Ganal is a new gross split production sharing contract (PSC), covering an area of about 1,129 square km adjoining the Eni-operated Muara Bakau and East Sepinggan PSCs in the Makassar Strait offshore East Kalimantan. The award reinforces the strategic cooperation in the Kutei basin between PT Pertamina and the Neptune Energy Group, already partners in the producing Jangkrik field in Muara Bakau block.
