Lao PDR state-owned power company Electricite du Laos (EDL), jointly with the Chinese EPC contractor China Electric Power Equipment and Technology Company Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the State Grid Corporation of China, will install 230 kV and 500 kV lines in the Lao capital of Vientiane to ensure adequate power supply in the region.
