Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) is planning to raise 10 billion baht through its infrastructure fund. This amount will be used to construct new power plants and transmission lines. EGAT has appointed Siam Commercial Bank to be its financial adviser for the fund. The company manages several power plants with a total installed capacity of 1,500 MW. The firm plans to spend 400 billion baht during 2014–18 to construct the power plants and upgrade the transmission network in the country.
