Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) plans to invest 100 billion baht for the construction and development of a coal-fired power plant in Dawei, Myanmar. The firm will also invest in the development of a transmission network associated with the plant that will have a generation capacity of 1,800 MW. The excess power generated at the plant will be purchased by Thailand.
