EGAT International, a subsidiary of EGAT, will develop a 1,200 MW thermal power plant in Quang Tri, Vietnam. The project is estimated to cost 54.29 trillion dong. It will have two generators of 600 MW capacity each. The first generator is scheduled to be commissioned by 2019–20, and the second generator will be commissioned by 2013. The project will be developed on a build-operate-transfer basis and will have a concession period of 25 years.
