Edotco (Cambodia) Company Limited (edotco Cambodia), an integrated telecommunications infrastructure services company in Cambodia, has launched its tower-to-community clean water project in Kampong Speu province. The project is part of wider green initiatives under its corporate social responsibility programme. It incorporates an innovative solar power water pump which will extract underground water and transfer it to a large storage tank to ensure water supply to the community of Raong Masin village in Oral district. The system makes use of four solar panels to power the unit for up to six hours per day, pumping 3 square metres of water per hour, which equates to 15-18 square metres per day. The storage tank has a capacity of 5,000 litres.
