Thailand-based renewable energy company Energy Absolute has awarded a contract to consulting and engineering company, Pöyry to carry out engineering work on the 130 MW Lampang solar power plant in northern Thailand. The power plant will feature 424,800 solar modules on a single-axis tracking system. Pöyry will provide technical assistance till the project’s commissioning, which is scheduled for end-2014, and will also provide operations and maintenance services till 2025. The solar power project is expected to generate about 270 GWh of electricity.
