Thailand-based mobile service provider DTAC plans to launch 3G and 4G mobile services. The second largest mobile operator intends to start providing 3G services on the 2.1 GHz spectrum and 4G services on its existing analog 1800 MHz frequency by June 2013, which is subject to approval by the NBTC. Further, DTAC plans to invest THB 10 million in the deployment of 5,000 3G base stations on the 2100 MHz spectrum across the country.
