The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is seeking for new funding sources for key rail projects in the Philippines after the loan application to the Government of China was withdrawn. The agency is looking to fund the Philippine National Railways (PNR) South Long Haul, Metro Manila to Bicol Express railway project and the Subic-Clark Railway project with a combined value of nearly USD5 billion.
New contractors will also be announced once alternative funding is secured.
