The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) is set to rebid the consultancy contract for the PhP 65 billion LRT-1 Cavite extension project. The move comes after a failed bidding for the contract during the pre-qualification stage in December 2014. Interested bidders have until January 30, 2015 to submit their eligibility documents. The applications for eligibility would be evaluated based on non-discretionary pass/fail criteria and the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) will prepare a shortlist of consultants in accordance with the provisions of the Republic Act, 9184 or the Government Procurement Reform Act. The shortlist would consist of at most five prospective bidders and will be based on applicable experience (30 per cent), qualification of personnel (50 per cent) and current workload relative to capacity (20 per cent).
