The Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) of DOTC has extended the interim maintenance contract of MRT 3. Consequently, the interim maintenance contractor – the JV between Philippine Trams Rail Management and Services Corporation (PH Trams) and Comm Builders and Technology, Inc. (CB&T) – will continue to provide services till June 19, 2013. Earlier, DOTC had invited tenders worth PHP 712.7 million for the maintenance of the MRT. Bids were closed on April 15, 2013, one day before the six-month interim contract of PH Trams and CB&T expired. However, due to requests for extension by bidders, the BAC has extended the deadline.
