The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) has awarded contracts worth over PhP 60 million to improve four airports in the Visayas and Mindanao regions. The details of the contracts awarded are as follows:

  • Semi-permanent airport terminal project at the Puerto Princesa airport awarded to D.G. Sarmenta for PhP 21.49 million: The project will improve passenger convenience in the short run.
  • The Dipolog airport development project awarded to V.T. Lao Construction for PhP 26.69 million: The project involves the construction of river protection and runway strip grade correction.
  • The Zamboanga airport development project awarded to Advance Tech Construction & Trading Corporation for PhP 5.74 million: The project involves creek desiltation, the de-clogging of the box culvert, and the construction of a steel strainer.
  • The Catarman airport development project awarded to Vesa Engineering and Construction for PhP 7.52 million: The project involves asphalt overlay of the runway and construction of the perimeter fence.
