DOST-ICTO introduces programme to strengthen country’s economic growth through ICT

The Information and Communications Technology Office of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-ICTO) has introduced its flagship programme, Smarter Philippines, which is aimed at strengthening the country’s economic growth through information and communications technology (ICT). The programme will use ICT as an enabling tool to provide efficient and reliable services for some priority industries. DOST’s other projects such as Project NOAH (Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazards) and the recently launched iGovPhils project will also come under the new programme.
