The Department of Energy (DOE) of the Philippines has endorsed six power projects with a combined capacity of 672.35 MW to conduct a grid impact study in the country.

DOE has endorsed the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines to conduct a grid impact study for the 500 MW Dalupiri Island Wind Power in Calayan. Other approved projects include PH Renewables Incorporated’s 80 MW Pinugay Solar Power project in Barangay Pinugay, Rizal and Gritstone Lead Power Corporation’s 40 MW battery storage project in Barangay Mabalas-balas.

The remaining three projects include the grid impact study for San Miguel Consolidated Power Corporation’s 41 MW Sangali diesel project in Barangay Sangali, SPC Island Power Corporation’s Panay diesel power plant projects with a combined capacity of 9.35 MW in Tabugon, and SPC Power Corporation’s 2 MW battery energy storage for Power Barge 104 at Tapal Wharf in Ubay.
