The Department of Energy (DOE) has earmarked PhP 2.81 billion for the procurement of supply requirements of pipeline projects in 2014. In addition, the DOE has allotted significant sums for its information and technology system: email protection (PhP 500,000); firewall (PhP 150,000); upgrading of proxy server (PhP 500,000); and its secure layer (PhP 60,000). In the annual procurement plan resolution, the DOE has noted that its proposed allocations will be submitted to the Government Procurement Policy Board.
