Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) has appointed new directors from five major telcos to its board following the Share Subscription Agreement (SSA) signed in 2023. The appointed directors include Datuk Kamal Khalid from CelcomDigi, Uthaya Kumar A/L K Vivekananda from Maxis, Chang Yit Fei from U Mobile, Nik Azli Abu Zahar from Telekom Malaysia, and Dato Seri Yeoh Seok Hong from YTL.
The members will join the board as Secretary General of the Treasury, Ministry of Finance, Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican and Deputy Secretary General of Digital Ministry, Ma Sivanesan Marimuthu.
In their new role, they will provide input and direction to advance Malaysia’s digital infrastructure and the adoption of 5G technology across various sectors.
