DMCI Power Corporation (DPC) has allocated PHP745 million to improve the power supply in the Masbate province of the Philippines. The investment will be used to develop an 11 MW generating facility, which when operational will increase the province’s power supply by 21 per cent.
Additionally, an 8 MW diesel power generating facility in Cataingan is set to come online by the end of December 2022. The facility is currently undergoing final testing and commissioning and will also boost Masbate’s power supply. A 4MW solar plant, set to commence operations in 2023, will also boost DCI’s renewable energy capacity.
