Malaysia’s Bank Rakyat has appointed Datuk Zulkiflee Abbas Abdul Hamid as its new managing director and president.
Prior to this, Hamid served as the CEO and MD of the Affin Bank Group from 2009 to 2015. Besides, Hamid has served on a number of industry committees, including as council member of the Association of Banks Malaysia as well as chairman of the audit committee of the Malaysian Electronic Payment System.
Hamid holds an MBA degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, both from Southern Illinois University, USA.
