The Dai Phong Development Investment Joint Stock Company (JSC) has secured approval from the Binh Thuan government to develop a wind power plant in the province at an estimated investment of $58.15 million. The plant will span over an area of 12.7 hectares and will be developed in two phases.

Both the phases will be developed at an investment of VND 660 billion each and have a capacity of 20 MW each per year. Construction on Phase I is expected to commence in 2019.

Currently, the province has 64 wind and solar power projects, with a combined capacity of 3,968 MW, developed at an estimated investment of VND 107.78 million.
