The Da Nang City Party Committee has proposed that Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company (THACO) participate as a strategic investor in the city’s planned urban railway project connecting Da Nang Airport–Hoi An–Chu Lai Airport. Phase 1 of the project will cover the Da Nang Airport–Hoi An section.
During a meeting with THACO, the company’s role in the city’s industrial development and emphasized the importance of positioning it as a key partner. The city expects THACO to contribute more than VND25,000 billion annually to its budget over the next two years.
The Da Nang–Hoi An–Chu Lai railway will extend more than 100 km and is considered one of the city’s strategic transport projects. Two companies have already submitted proposals, with THACO invited to join as an additional investor. The project is divided into two phases and aims to enhance connectivity across central Vietnam.
