The Governments of Singapore and Indonesia have signed a letter of intent (LoI) to collaborate on a cross-border carbon capture and storage (CCS) plant. As per the LoI, the governments of both countries will work towards a legally binding bilateral agreement to enable the cross-border transport and storage of carbon dioxide between the countries.
Additionally, the government aims to explore the potential of CCS storage and generate economic opportunities.
