Corio Generation has received green lane certification for its 3 GW offshore wind projects in the Philippines. This certification from the Philippine Board of Investments (BOI) will accelerate the permitting process for Corio’s projects, which are planned off the coasts of Cavite, Batangas-Mindoro, Iloilo, and Guimaras.
The projects, consisting of 2 GW of fixed-bottom and 1 GW of floating platforms, are part of Corio’s efforts to help the country meet its decarbonisation targets. Additionally, Corio plans to participate in the upcoming green energy auction in the Philippines, aligning with the nation’s goal of achieving 35 per cent renewable energy (RE) in its generation mix by 2030 and 50 per cent by 2040.
