The construction of the Mass Rapid Transit 3 (MRT3) project in Malaysia is scheduled to begin in 2027, as the land acquisition process is expected to take up to 24 months, potentially extending into 2026. The final alignment can be determined and land acquisition will commence. The project’s timeline is heavily dependent on the economic situation.

MRT3, also known as the Circle Line, is set to complete the Klang Valley MRT network, linking multiple rapid transit systems. The 51 km line will have the capacity to transport 25,000 passengers per hour in each direction, with a total journey time of 73 minutes.
