The Government of Huaphan Province has commenced construction on a new 162-metre-long suspension bridge over the Ma River at Phae Village, Ed district, Laos. 

The project is funded by the central government at a cost of USD0.415 million, the steel bridge will replace the temporary bamboo structures built annually by villagers. The project, contracted to Bounthavisap Group, is set for completion within eight months, improving transportation and trade for local communities.
