Construction work on a new National Highway 19 section that connects the Quy Nhon seaport and National Highway 1A has begun. The project is estimated to cost 5.73 trillion dong and is scheduled to be completed by 2020. Traffic originating from Quy Nhon seaport is expected to increase to 12 mt and 20 mt in 2015 and 2020, respectively, from the current figure of 6.1 mt.
