The Southern Vietnam Power Projects Management Board (SPMB) has invited bids for the construction and completion of the 220 kV Cau Bong–Duc Hoa and Cau Bong–Hoc Mon–Binh Tan transmission lines in two lots. The project is a part of the Asian Development Bank (ADB)-funded Multi-tranche Financing Facility Power Transmission Investment Program, Tranche 2. Lot I involves the construction of tower foundations (43 positions), the erection of steel towers (43 positions), along with the stringing of aluminium conductor steel reinforced (ACSR)/aluminium alloy conductor steel reinforced (AACSR) conductors (125.8 km) and optical ground wire (OPGW) (15.1 km) for the 220 kV Cau Bong–Duc Hoa transmission line. Lot II involves the construction of tower foundations (59 positions), the erection of steel towers (59 positions), as well as the stringing of ACSR/AACSR conductors (558.46 km) and OPGW (15.86 km) for the 220kV Cau Bong–Hoc Mon–Binh Tan transmission line and extension bays. The last date for bid submission is August 6, 2013.
