Construction work on the expansion of the Hoa Binh hydropower plant has commenced. The hydropower plant covers an area of 99.62 hectares in Hoa Binh city. The expansion project has received a total funding of VND 9.22 trillion. Vietnam Electricity Group has provided 30 per cent of the amount with the remaining 70 per cent having been raised through commercial loans without government guarantee.
