Singapore LNG Corporation has commenced construction of the onshore connecting infrastructure (OCI) for the country’s second LNG terminal, marking a key step in strengthening energy supply resilience in Singapore.

The milestone was marked by a ceremony held at Jurong Port, where the OCI will be developed to support the new terminal. The infrastructure will include critical components such as the main process area, a jetty for a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), and pipelines to deliver regasified LNG into the national gas network.

The engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCIC) contract for the project has been awarded to China Communications Construction Company.
