Consortium of Sonoro Energy Limited and Menara Global Energi secures Selat Panjang PSC block in Sumatra

A consortium of Sonoro Energy Limited and its Indonesian partner Menara Global Energi has been awarded the Selat Panjang Production Sharing Contract (PSC) block in Sumatra by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. The Selat Panjang PSC area, spanning 923 square km is situated in Riau province of Central Sumatra. In 2014, the ministry had approved a plan for the development of the block to increase production. However, with the termination of the PSC block in 2018, the development plan was put on hold.
