San Miguel Corporation (SMC) and Palafox Associates have released a conceptual master plan for the Bulacan aero city project in the Philippines. The aerocity will feature green designs to promote sustainability and will be zoned, with areas dedicated to agriculture and food production, logistics, health and wellness, aeronautics, finance, science and technology, commerce, residences, education, tourism, entertainment, recreation and governance. Additionally, the site will also feature SMC’s upcoming PHP740 billion New Manila International Airport (NMIA).
The aerocity will be powered by renewable energy (RE), specifically solar energy. Public transport in the area will include mass transit systems, bicycle highways, as well as a waterfront area with walkways and promenades.
The aerocity project will be fully funded by SMC.
