ComfortDelGro has teamed up with Engie to bid for a tender to deploy new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in public parking lots in Singapore.

The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and the Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) jointly declared the pilot tender to construct and maintain over 600 EV charging points in nearly 200 public parking lots, public housing estates, public parks, community centres and industrial estates across Singapore.  The successful bidders will have to install the chargers by the third quarter of 2022.

By 2030, the goal is to install 60,000 EV charging stations across Singapore, with 40,000 in public parking lots and 20,000 in private buildings.
