Cognizant and Gulf Edge Company Limited, the digital infrastructure arm of Thailand’s Gulf Development Public Company Limited (Gulf Group), have announced a strategic partnership to accelerate enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) adoption in Thailand and across Southeast Asia. The collaboration combines Gulf Edge’s sovereign digital infrastructure, cloud and energy capabilities with Cognizant’s global expertise in AI engineering, digital transformation, cloud modernisation, data and intelligent operations to deliver secure, scalable AI solutions for enterprises.
Under the partnership, the companies will provide end-to-end AI capabilities covering digital infrastructure, AI platforms, enterprise applications, systems integration and managed services. Initial deployment will target key sectors including banking and financial services, energy and utilities, healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing and the public sector. Industry-specific AI solutions are intended to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, strengthen decision-making, automate business processes and support innovation across participating organisations.
Beyond enterprise deployments, the partners aim to strengthen Thailand’s position as a regional AI hub by expanding sovereign digital infrastructure, attracting technology investment and developing AI talent. The collaboration also includes plans to work with universities, research institutions, technology partners and public-sector organisations to promote responsible AI adoption, advance research and create employment opportunities in AI engineering, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, data science and digital transformation, supporting Thailand’s transition towards an AI-driven digital economy.
