CK Power Public Company Limited (CKP) has announced plans add more than 2.8 GW of renewable energy (RE) generating capacity in Thailand by 2024, doubling its current portfolio of RE projects in the country. In line with this, the company will build six power plants over the next three years, increasing the cumulative capacity to 4.8 GW.

The planned facilities will include solar power plants, hydro power plants and wind power plant.

By 2027, the company’s solar power capacity is expected to increase to 300 MW, while wind farms will reach 700 MW. Around 95 per cent of the company’s total electricity generating capacity will be based on renewable sources.
