The Civil Aviation Department is likely to finance the feasibility study for the extension of the runway at Trang airport. The department has already allocated 10 million baht for the purpose. The runway will be extended from the current length of 2,100 metres to 3,000 metres. Meanwhile, both Air Asia and Nok Air are planning to increase their services to Trang to six flights a day, which will increase passenger traffic to over 300,000 a year at Trang airport.
