The China Power Investment Corporation is planning to invest $17 billion in the development of a 7 GW hydropower plant in Indonesia. The construction of the proposed facility along the Kayan river is expected to begin in 2014. The Chinese company recently completed the 6 GW Myistsone hydropower project in Myanmar.
